AIESEC Presentation Skills??!

On april 11th, we had the presentation for our senior project. (incase you are very curious, it was about implementing a software that you supply with money (credit card account) and it does the investments in stock market for you without supervision.)

This senior project is the pride for any computer science student in the university - getting an A- in this course is a huge shame!!! All Professors come just to enjoy embarassing us with amazingly tough questions and inquiries.

We were in a very tough situation since we were introducing a new concept (multi ageent software system) and it ended up with our group members and our supervisors to be the only people understanding the hell we are talking about. One of our professors waited till we finish our presentation to ask us (what exactly are you guys doing?)

Amazingly I was taking an AIESEC stand during the presentation, which put me in funny situation. I was staring at every single audient talking, asking the audience to keep quiet every 2 minutes. I even replied to this stupid doctor with a smile, starting with "that's a very good question" which made the audience laugh and the doctor realy mad. (AIESECers attending were commenting that I was just treating him like a newie)

AIESEC does help you with Presentation skills but sometimes it's too much i guess.

Security Engineering!!

3 semesters ago in our University, a new course was offered which is "Secure
Software Engineering." Of course everyone was amazed by this course:

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

  • Yes!!! I want to be a hacker!!

  • I want to look like computer freaks with

glasses sitting for 12 hrs on my computer!!

  • I want to de-assemble programs, decrypt messages and hack CIA and mafia
sites. SO COOL!! (wrong image given by Hollywood movies.)

  • I will have my own encryption algorithm and i will sell its patent

  • I will automate the process of Intrusion Detection and sell this program
be a millionaire at age of 25 (that stupid ass is me.

Our first assignment was to exploit a 5 lines program to gain some
administrative access over Linux operating system and only one student did
this program.
Another one was to exploit an online database by providing SQL injections
(database language) in username and password fields (didn't even bother to
look at this one)

I have a midterm in this course tomorrow (had it already twice in my
nightmares), I'm studying all what i can study, but i keep laughing once i
imagine myself taking the exam.

KOSA

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Kosa is a name of a vegetable "zucchini" in Arabic, but another more imprtant meaning is the "favorism" or finding a backdoor for facilitaing routine procedures using some connections.

Yesterday, I had seen an amazing example for such Kosa: I was walking on Mohamed Mahmoud street from one campus to the other when i found a friend of mine beating a traffic policeman and surrounded by other 5 trying to get the poor policeman out of my friend's hands.

My friend was beating the guy because he asked him not to park his car in Mohammad Mahmoud st.!!!!!

Higher rank Police officers came, and I thought my friend will be screwed for beating a police officer during his duty.

- He was arrested (but went to the Police station in his Mercedes CLK not in the police car)
- Found out he has no driving licesnse or car license (no problem he's just a kid and it's fine as long as the licenses are home!!!)
- The policeman was grounded for asking my friend to park in the street (though we shouldn't actually park in this street!!!)

The answer is easy: My friend's close relative is a high officer in Ministry of Internal.

I'm wondering if the same scenario was repeated with a normal citizen: will he be imprisoned for 6 months, or only tortured for a week then set free?

Finally a Nomad

This is my first time as a nomad - it is a freaking tiring process but here i'm!!! Glad to join the AIESEC freaks from all over

Fucking Amazing

I'm still haveing my very first walkthroughs in BlogSpot, but it seems to be really powerful and professional - you can really edit every single shitty detail in your space.

I have added a stupid JavaScript game on my Blog home (trying to learn more on HTML Editing on this site (Computer Science FREAK!!) the game is from a site called http://www.theholidayspot.com/javagames/

Try the stupid game. I scored 31!!!
